III. General information on data processing

1. Scope of personal data

We principally collect and use personal data of our users only insofar as it is necessary to establish a well-functioning website and to present our contents and services. The collection and use of personal data of our users is regularly performed on a strictly legal basis. An exception applies in such cases in which a legal basis obviously does not exist, and processing of data can only be legitimized by consent.

2. Legal grounds for processing personal data

As far as we obtain consent of the data subject, Art. 6 (1a) GDPR of the European Union shall serve as a legal basis.

As far as the data subject is party of a contract for which processing of personal data is necessary, Art. 6 (1b) shall serve as a legal basis. This also applies to processing which is necessary, before the data subject enters into a contract.

As far as processing of personal data is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation, to which our company is subject, Art. 6 (1c) of GDPR shall serve as a legal basis.

In the case that vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person make processing of personal data necessary, Art. 6 (1d) of GDPR shall serve as a legal basis.

If processing is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of our company or a third party, and the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not override the first-mentioned interest, Art. 6 (1f) GDPR shall serve as a legal basis for processing.

3. Erasure of data and period of storage

The personal data of the data subject will be erased or locked as soon as the purpose of storage is no longer applicable. Storage can additionally take place, if this has been provided for by European or national legislation in regulations, laws or other stipulations to which the responsible institution is subject. Erasure or locking of data also takes place, if a period prescribed by the above mentioned regulations has expired, unless there is a need for further storage of data with regard to the conclusion or performance of a contract.

IV. Providing the website and establishing logfiles

1. Description and scope of data processing

Our system automatically collects data and information from the foreign computer system which opens an internet site.

The following data will be collected:

  1. Information on the type of browser and the version used;
  2. Name of the file which has been inquired about;
  3. Date and time of the recall;
  4. Transmitted volume of data;
  5. IP address of your connection
  6. Notification about successful recall
  7. General technical data referring to your PC (for instance, name of your internet browser)
  8. Inquiring domain (for instance, the search engine which you have used to find us)

The data will also be stored in the logfiles of our system. Storage of these data with other personal data of the user will not take place.

2. Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for temporary storage of data and logfiles is Art. 6 (1f) GDPR.

3. Purpose of data processing

The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary in order to safeguard provision of the web site.

Moreover, the data serve us to optimize the web site and to safeguard the security of our information systems.

This purpose underlies our legitimate interest in pursuance to Art. 6 (1f) GDPR.

4. Period of storage

The data will be erased as soon as they are no longer necessary for the purpose of their collection. This will happen in the case of collecting data for the web site when the session in question is terminated.

In the case of storing data in logfiles this will happen after seven days at the latest. A storage exceeding this period is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of the users will be erased or made unidentifiable so that identification of the user will no longer be possible.

5. Possibility to object and to eliminate

In order to operate an internet site, the collection of data for the purpose of providing a web site and storing data in logfiles is absolutely necessary. Consequently, the user has no possibility to object.

V. Use of cookies, analysis tools, social plugs

Description and scope of data processing

IBH does not use cookies. On our websites we do not use either Google Analytics or plug ins of social media like Facebook, for instance.

VI. Registration for the language course for Master students

1. Description and scope of data processing

On our internet site we offer users the opportunity to register by disclosing personal data. The data will be put into a mask, subsequently transmitted by email to us, and finally stored. The data will not be disclosed to a third party.

Registration of the user is necessary in order to provide contents as well as services and planning in relation to our courses.

As a user you have at any time the possibility to cancel your registration. You can at any time request a modification of your data which have been stored.

On our internet site we offer users the opportunity to book a variety of courses by collecting personal data. The data will be fed into an input mask and subsequently transmitted to us by email and stored. The data will not be disclosed to a third party.
